Brooke Costello & Stefan Tornquist bet on Thursday night NFL action.
NO @ CHI (-3,44)
S: Chicago scores 17 points against good defenses (usually) and 24 against bad ones (more often than not). New Orleans scores 24 and 32 in the same scenarios. Take the Over large and the Bears for half as much, unless the weather is going to be scary (current predication is 30 degrees with mild wind), and then just take the Bears. If you want to have some fun, tease the Saints and the Over. 9 is a lot for Chicago to cover and it just might be 9.5 by gametime.
B: NO is an underground ATS Hero at 9-4, but with this spread so small it’s hard to have them cover without winning. On the other hand, all three games Chicago has played against the NFC South this year have been decided by 3 points of less. It is highly unlikely either of these teams will be able to claim a wild card spot. NO’s goose is cooked w/three NFC South teams ahead of them in the standings, but Chi-Town is still alive in the Central. (Everybody knows Minny is quite capable of losing two of their last three @ Zona, vs ATL, and vs Gints). Home field and the last gasp of hope should be enough to see the Bears through. Give me the over as a Brees hedge.
