Can Obama Bring Change to Soccer?

Democratic victories in Colorado, Ohio and Virginia have led some commentators to announce a dramatic shift in American politics. Others think it’s a victory for soccer.

There is an Obama-soccer connection. The president-elect is supposedly a West Ham United fan, and he has a team in Kenya named after him, Obama F.C. (It’s based in the town of Obama’s Kenyan father.) More significantly, though, Obama may represent a larger soccer demographic. Read more at ESPN.
