We always thought vitamins were supposed to be good for you. Beer, maybe not so much. But over the past week, some powers that be in the soccer world came down hard on stuff you can buy at the “vitamin” store, while others gave out free beer. That’s right. Free beer.
First, the bad news: Doping hit MLS last Thursday when two members of the Red Bulls, defender Jeff Parke and goalkeeper Jon Conway, tested positive for banned performance enhancers. It wasn’t HGH or The Clear, but ATD, a chemical found in over-the-counter exercise supplements like Ultra H.O.T.
