Which NBA team has the most losses in history?

The Philadelphia Phillies recently “earned” their record 10,000th loss, but which is the losingest basketball team?

According to Basketball Reference another former Philadelphia franchise is the worst team in history. The Golden State Warriors have tallied 2,562 losses since they were founded in 1947. Their first 78 losses came in the Basketball Association of America, a precursor to the NBA, but even without those, the Warriors are still inferior to the Sacramento Kings, who have lost 2,427 times (15 in the BAA).

As for losing percentage, newcomers Charlotte Bobcats (.313) and Memphis Grizzlies (.334) are the bottom feeders, but the 36-year-old L.A. Clippers aren’t far ahead (.368).

The winningest team? The Lakers, of course, with 2,848 wins and 14 championships (1 in the BAA).

Philly doin’ it and doin’ it and doin’ it well.
